CallPilot Desktop / UNIFIED MESSAGING

CallPilot combines voice, fax and e-mail into a single point-and-click "in-box" with Unified Messaging (new for CallPilot 100 for Release 2.0). Unified Messaging integrates with more e-mail systems than any other messaging product, including Lotus Notes, Microsoft Exchange/Outlook, and Novell GroupWise, as well as with IMAP4-compliant e-mail clients such as Netscape Mail, Eudora and Microsoft Outlook Express. Managing voice, fax and e-mail messages has never been easier or more flexible. Using the e-mail interface, CallPilot enables voice message playback using either a telephone or speakers on a multimedia computer. Voice messages can also be stored on the PC for archival purposes or forwarded as a .wav file as an attachment to an e-mail. Laptops can now dial in from a remote location such as a hotel or branch office and have voice messages streamed to the PC. Voice messages are streamed to the PC to minimize the impact on network bandwidth and enable fast playback. Fax management (CallPilot 150 only) is now secure and easy. Unified messaging provides password-protected access to faxes while enabling outbound faxing from any Windows application. This reduces the need for additional fax machines or analog lines to each desk to enable fax from the PC.
